I get the crappy fuel bit, but we have good fuel here, its not the problem. These trucks do not all run exactly the same from what i see here. Many run like they should, but some are down in power, or have strange vibrations issues going on. Seems the good ones all get roughly the same fuel mileage while these others when driven the same way don't.

    Read the owners manual

Use it as is, change something when something doesn't work as you wish.

Use caution when visiting Lemming-ville or you'll find yourself with a 'leveling kit', black wheels, tires of a size, tread pattern and compound you dont need just for looks.

Swap out the interior lights for some LEDs. Brand isn’t all that important, nearly anything is better than stock. Inexpensive, and a Big Bang for your buck.

Those bigger flares make it look like a real truck imo. Factory are too skinny.

Skip the free Toyota oil changes and do them yourself. Also, get a Tacomaworld sticker for your truck!

Edit... make sure you drain the oil from under the engine... not the transmission (don't laugh, it's happened) Also, attach around 3' of 5/16" fuel line to the nipple under the oil filter drain... makes oil changes a lot easier with no mess (assuming the filter location is the same for the 2nd and 3rd generations.)
