2016 Tacoma TRD Off Road

Hey everyone, I have been driving an Audi for the past few years and just ordered a 2016 Tacoma TRD Off Road. I'm now borrowing a 2006 Tacoma TRD Off Road until it gets here in Colorado from the factory.

Maybe someone can help with this.. I'm trying to figure out a mountain bike rack setup for a 27.5" wheel Large frame bike. With the bed rail mounts from Rocky Mounts (a local CO company) I can't shut the tailgate because the real wheel sits on it. I'm wondering if the new Tacoma bed cover has a place to mount a fork mount on the underside of the cover when it is flipped up. If not, I'll have to go with a hitch mount and am wondering how the 1up works with the backup sensors and the tailgate hitting it.

I know this is very specific but any help would be appreciated! Thanks for reading.
