New Tacoma owner with pics

I’ve been on here browsing and asking questions for almost 2 years while looking for a 2nd gen Tacoma. After finding several and them selling within a day or a week and finding several that had been trashed inside or the frame looking like a rusted paper clip, I finally located my truck last week. I went to see it and test drive it initially after contacting the owner only hours after it was posted. Loved the truck!!!!
After staying in close contact with the seller and him agreeing to hold it a week for me in order for me to find someone to give me a ride, I picked it up today!!! The truck had been in NC all it’s life with no hard use at all. I have to run a front tag so my first mod so to speak with be the tag bracket from @ACEkraut and then I’m hoping to change my fog lights so they work with my parking lights and high beams without any splicing or crazy wiring tricks
I have been reading tons of threads on here so hopefully I won’t have too many questions to ask. I am browsing the forsale ads for a few items I’m looking for so hopefully something will pop up soon.
Since it will be a week before I can get a DMV appointment, this will give me time to do a thorough detail of the truck.

For a big ole long stretched out Taco, looks like you found a nice one, surely worth the search. For me, cut out the back half of the cab & appx. 13" from the bed & it would perfect. Can you tell I'm a reg. cab guy? Still mad at Toyota for quitting the "REG CAB's". but happy for ya'll who like them big'uns. Congrats & Welcome.

 

THanks @rphillips nothing wrong with a Reg can. I prob would have went extended cab but I want to be able to take my parents around when they come visit.

You live in NC, why do you have to run a front tag? Is it a municipal requirement, because NC only requires a rear license tag.

 

I have a place in NC when working but VA is my main residence which is where im registered at

yes sir. Trying to find little odds and ends now to keep her clean. Never would have thought locating rear all weather mats In gray would be so hard. I think this coming weekend will be wash, paint cleanse and wax

 

I hear ya . Im constantly cleaning on our cars. I enjoy it tho. Turn on some tunes and get to work.
