I imagine some official full body pics will "leak" before the Detroit Autoshow. A few days before the Colorado was unveiled there was legit pics of it that the auto mags posted. Seems to be protocol for these kind of things.

Seems like a major facelift on the gen two.
Too many plastic nooks and crannies on edge headlights (too narrow), and
under the (gapped tooth) grill to the fog lights... choppy looking, same as tailend.
Was looking forward to a more of a streamlined smooth front end..
Hope the interior is as nice as the 4runner....My two cents, Will buy one regardless,,.as this was a two year wait...

I hope it's just not another face lift. Some people are saying the spy pics show a truck with a cab that is not identical to the gen 2 access and double cab. It's kind of hard to say at this point.
The trend in the truck industry in the last decade has been to revise as little as possible.
The Super Duty has had the same cab/frame since the late 90's, the Titan is finally getting re-done, the Frontier is as old as the Tacoma, the Tundra is 8 years old etc.
I guess it makes more sense to build a solid frame/cab then revise as time goes on.

Still nothing. =( I expect Toyota to release some more pics or info soon though. Nissan is already releasing specs for their new Titan Cummins motor.
Usually trickling more information keeps the press's/public's attention as the unveil date nears.
I keep checking this thread as you guys seem pretty privy to any new Tacoma news. Hope more comes soon.

Hahaha you and me both, in dieng for more info as I am very near another vehicle purchase as my Tacoma's gas mileage keeps plummeting. Last 3 tanks: 12.7,12.9,13.0. The last tank was all highway at 65mph.

Something is wrong. You shouldn't be getting that unless you drive like you stole the thing and have 33's... if its your driving habits, get an ultraguage.
