I am surprised at all the negative reactions to this. You had to have known it was coming. I, frankly, and stoked!

It's not negative. Remember in 2011 when a lot people were expecting a all new Tacoma then the 2012 Tacoma shows up only as a refresh. So a lot of Tacoma owners are not that stoked yet until the pictures and specs are official.

I'll be happy if they switch frame providers or upgrade their undercoatings or add heated mirrors or put grease in the LCA cam bolt sleeves so they don't seize but they haven't fixed any of that in over a decade so why just so excited about the same shit all over again ?

Toyota has already said the exterior, interior and engine/tranny are all new. This is not a refresh.

This will be a full redesign and be the 3rd generation Tacoma.

I'm surprised as to why some people on here even own Tacomas.

The first gen to second gen was a full redesign and they carried over the rusting frame issue , what's your point ?

My point is why do you own a truck you hate so much? Its a serious question, I had a Ford transmission fail 15 years ago and I've never owned one since.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Some guys don't like change I guess. I am excited too, it's been 10 years since anything major has changed, I want to see what we will have next. Still ain't letting go of my first gen though.

I don't hate my truck at all , in fact I really like my truck , I'm just not a fanboy who ignores facts . All those things I posted are actually happening to these trucks and ignoring that doesn't make any sense to me

That's a fair answer. I know that there are issues and agree with you that they shouldn't be blindly ignored. I thought the frame rust issue had been remedied though?

I've only owned my 2013 for a year and a half so hopefully I don't have too many issues.

There a couple of things I don't like such as the fuel economy, the interior trim that scratches easily and the lack of heated mirrors but overall I am quite happy with it.

There is a frame rust program in place for 2005-2008 trucks currently with frames being failed for rot at replaced by Toyota , lots of nasty pictures in there if you want to look

Being in Ontario , if I was you I would get on a fluid film or Rust Cure Formula 3000 routine and remove and grease your cam bolts before they seize , mine did in 2 winters out here

A friend of mine had his truck brought back because of the frame rust issue. I researched it here before buying mine.

I've read a bit about fluid film but not about the rust cure routine. I need to do something as I want to keep this truck for a long time.

I didn't know about the cam bolts so thanks! Is there a how-to on how to do it and what grease to use?

I'll see if I can find you a thread on the cam bolts , there was one but the OP of that thread got banned and I can't seem to locate that thread
