Ah, it's what the automakers say.
Then it must be true. They would never make stuff up just to sell us vehicles.

OK, I give it 26% because they put a different air freshener in it.

Ill be getting the new tacoma. It will be the 6 speed manual under 2 conditions if they still make it of coarse, and if they make the 6th gear higher.

Did Toyota ever call the 2014 Tundra "All New" if so, drop a link. Not to prove a point or anything, just merely because I am curious. We all know the 2014 Tundra was a cosmetic change with 1 or 2 superficial mechanical updates that did not affect performance.
I am really hoping I am wrong and that the rear seat is a little bigger. I sat in the back of the Colorado and was surprised how spacious it was. The Tacoma, not so much...

I actually said I would buy one if I needed a truck.

My point is that it's just that it's really not a 3rd Gen truck.
Look at a 1st Gen, then look at a 2nd Gen - has the 2016 truck changed that much?

By that logic the third generation would have too of become a full sized version of the Tacoma :D.

I find the back of the Colorado just as cramped as the back of a Tacoma. Especially when you're out on a half hour test drive.

I have no clue why everyone is saying its not a 3rd gen pretty much the whole body has changed ,also there will more than likely be different engines so there for it will be a 3rd gen.

Looking at the 2016 it still looks like a gen 2 with some new makeup on it. My first thought when I saw it was "Dammit, it's just a refresh.". Heavy re-fresh is not the same as an "all-new redesign" no matter what anyone else says. Even with new engine/transmission options under the hood.
I am not saying it looks bad, that it won't be a good truck etc., just stating the truth that it does not appear "all new".

Well, not just the size - it was a completely different design from 1st Gen to 2nd Gen. Just focusing on the fact that it got bigger is kinda missing the point.

They didn't call the Tundra all-new but they are calling the Tacoma that. This would lead me to believe that the engine and transmission have been upgraded. I know for a fact that it will not have the same 4.0 that was in the 2nd Generation.

Because people fail to see that toyota needs/wants to keep the tacoma.....well tacoma looking.

People say "I like dodge's front end" or " i want the silverados tow ratings".....well great go buy a doge or chevy.

After looking at it long enough. I think I like it. Just wait till someone lifts one with 33s . The blue is sweet too.

They changed everything because they made it that much bigger. I'm not getting your point because I don't really care about you whining that they didn't build this truck from scratch. Wait till Tuesday. If all they reused on this truck are the frame and body shell I think you'll be surprised how new it'll feel when you get in one to try it.

And if you need brand new, I'm sure Chevrolet would love you to get into a Colorado ;).

These honda accords are 2 separate generations. One is an 8th gen, and the other a 9th gen. Just because they look similar doesn't make them the same generation.

At this point I'm going to wait and see if they offer a diesel. If they do I'll get it, If not and no one but GM offers it then it's the GM.

You so realize that the 2nd gen already had a modern look so they couldn't just do what the did with the first to 2nd gen. It would have to look really odd and different, a spaceship maybe? The 2nd gen has styling ques similar to the new Colorado, that tells you they couldn't really change much without it being too much of a change, like the stupid A-bat concept.
