I just bought my 2nd Tacoma about a week ago and couldnt wait to get back into this forum. Quick question, my truck has what appears to be a railing system in the bed and was needing to know if the "clip" tonneau covers will mount with this in the bed? based on teh videos i watched online, it doesnt appear so. i bought a pop n lock tailgate lock and need to know which tonneau i can get to keep my stuff secure. thanks

Welcome here, I have not bought a cover, but researched some a while back. I think some work with the rail system, and some dont?

VERY NICE Tacoma there Archer! I just plastidipped my decals over the weekend as well as installed a locking tailgate latch. I went with black decals mainly because I had some black sitting around the house but it looks pretty sharp on the gray paint! In a couple of weeks i'll have my tonneau and windows tinted at 20% so hopefully it'll look even better blacked out!

@Crimsonfurious Thank you sir I very much appreciate it!! The dipped badges were kind of a spur of the moment thing and it turned out nice. I'm sure black looks awesome over the gray!! Need more pics as soon as it's done :D

Do you know which tonneau you're going with yet?

Going with the BakFlip FiberMax. It's not Powder coated like some of the cheaper covers so if it scratches, it won't show metal under the black

You thinking of getting one as well?

I thought about it but with the toolbox in the bed I can't and I like the storage options the toolbox offers while still being able to utilize most of the bed...long story short I like my toolbox too much :D Just curious what people think as far as best buy to work with the rail system...Just in case I change my mind :spy:

I would too if it looked like that. Unfortunately, not a lot of the tonneaus offer a lot of utilization of the rail system which is why I bought a ratchet bar and bungees. I have to have the tonneau for all the kids stuff i'll be luggin' around. If it's worth anything, the guy said my tonneau comes off in a matter of minutes if I needed to remove for any reason...

That's really why you have a truck. Just to haul kid stuff right?? I think the tonneaus look awesome and tried to see if I could work one with the toolbox somehow (horrible idea) but since the toolbox is bolted through my bed it's pretty permanent for now :D

LOL! Actually, sort of. It aint a 4x4 so it's not for necessarily going of road (unfortunately) so yeah, kids stuff and other ornate things that my wife buys for the house :) I wouldnt worry too much about that tonneau with that toolbox. it looks sharps on their being all black and all. Just bought a bull bar to put on the front. In a couple of weeks, i should have another pic to post with all the mods.

No 4x4 doesn't mean you can't wheel...Just means you need a little more skinny pedal :D

I know all about "ornate stuff" the other half buys  Always an interesting venture.

Excited for pics! Let the wait begin
