New Tacomas on the lot

Toyota does not make it easy to search what is available on dealership lots. This may already be done here if so I'll delete this thread. I am in a town with two dealerships and one in a town near me. Currently, In my area, there are:

DCSB Sport Blue leather
DCSB OR Mag Grey
DCSB OR cloth
and an SR5

I'm looking for a fully loaded DCLB OR Mag Grey does anyone know of one on a lot anywhere?

Would it be helpful to have an "in search of thread"? I'm not sure of the best way to set it up. Searching Toyota dealership sites is tedious and hard to tell if they are actually on the lot.

 

You may need to travel to a much larger metro area.

Suggest to clear things up with your other $500 deposit as a first step.

 

I went to my local dealer and they ran a 500 mile query. They told me who had what on the lot and what trucks each dealer is allotted to be built. I wanted a nightshade and they referred me to a dealer 80 miles away that was getting one. I called them and paid the deposit over the phone to put my name on it. Everything was totally accurate.

If you are looking at online inventory you are doing it wrong. They are not accurate. At all.

I was lucky to run into a single allotment when filling out the option list on a new TRD OR, DC. Rep got a call from the back office, came back with a single allotment, just what we wanted, and added a few more options, which the factory took a couple days later. Rcvd the temp VIN.

What is your location?

 

This is the way to do it. Alternatively, call every dealer within your distance and ask them what they have on the lot/what they are getting soon/what is being built. That is what I did and was also able to use that availability to make some sort of leverage, however small.

 

Don't what the problem is in your areas with low tacoma inventory, but dealers here have had more than a dozen on the lot for months.

 

Check out carsgurus. I found my current Tacoma was on the lot of my closest dealership when I was looking to buy.

Double cabs are listed everywhere, mostly OR and SR. Plenty of SR access cabs if you want one of those.

North East there’s ones at most dealers. Probs 20+ within 45 min of me.

 

Same for the dealer in boston i got my truck from. If you like mexican taco's there's one for you.

 

No. They havent.

 

People. You cannot look at a dealer website and determine inventory. It is not accurate right now. Go to the dealer and ask the salesman if they have one for sale.

For whats its worth i saw a cement gray trd sport on the lot of a dealer here along with another metallic silver one.
