NOTE: Wish I could change the title. I didn't mean to include the name and model of my radio in the title.

Hello. I'm a new-ish Tacoma owner (purchased July 2018). It is a 2007 TRD. It is my first truck (unless you count my family's '57 Chevy farm truck). I recently put LT Hankook AT2 tires on and installed a Boss BVB9358RC touch screen stereo/DVD/back-up camera system.

I live in Utah and feel the truck is great for all the dirt roads I always dreamed of driving down (well, maybe not all of them).

I am interested in getting a new, sturdier (metal) front bumper and any cheap, cool mods people can recommend.

I am currently waiting for my torque wrench to be delivered to my house and spark plugs to be delivered to the auto parts store and then hopefully later tonight or early tomorrow morning I will be changing my spark plugs for the first time (Denso Spark Plugs #K20HR-U11).

Previously I owned a 1995 Eurovan Camper. It was great. Except it kept breaking (coolant system) and VW stopped making parts for it. Actually, my old mechanic has never given it back. He told me his partner committed suicide in his shop and I called several times asking when I could come get it and never heard back from him. If anyone is a lawyer or has any advice in this regard I would appreciate it.

In that camper van I went all over the west of North America. I modded it a bit. I took out the basic empty skylight and put in a rainproof skylight with a fan. I put a 65 watt solar panel sticker on the roof and boosted the galley batteries to two 6 volts with 200 something amp hours.

I have been able to salvage the batteries from the galley system and sometimes (when gone long enough) take them for luxury car camping (really I do a lot of astrophotography).

I'm a geology student about to enter post graduate, so if anyone knows of deals for stuff I might need for the Tacoma out in the field I'd appreciate it.

Thanks! Glad to "meet" you all.
