    Happy Friday folks!

I have been using BFGOODRICH LT265/70R-17 ALL-TERRAIN T/A KO2 C since Nov 2017. I like these tires except for road noise and it does not do well in rain/snow. I have slipped quite a few times on wet roads while doing turns and while moving forward after a red light.

Does anyone have any recommendations? A friend of mine suggested Toya OPEN COUNTRY A/T III. Thanks.

Take a look at Michelin Defender LTX or the LTX A/T2.

I'm curious. Why do you like tires that are noisy and slip in rain/snow??

I am planning on buying the Toyo AT III's for my truck but I also run Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 SUV tires for winter. I have experienced winter rated AT tires in the heavy rain and snow we get here. Definitely prefer a true winter tire when it gets cold.

Sorry I have no experience with the Toyo's but my truck came with Toyo Open Country A30's and they have been great. And the Toyo AT III's rate well and price is way better than the BFG KO2's or Goodyear Wrangler's. So I think it is a good choice.

When I bought the BFG's, I honestly had no idea they would be noisy and slip. Time to change to something diff. Thanks for the tip.

100% agree. I had them on my 14 before I sold it and will be putting them on my 21 again

I had the same exact complaint with my KO2s. After about a year they got slippery (really noticed just like you with the red light takeoffs in the rain) and the road noise. I 've had the Toyo ATIIIs and less noise (there is a little) or slipping in the same EXACT situations and they are over a year old too.

Yes around that. Probably more like 7000 miles. Think I had about 20K on them when I sold the truck

I like my Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires, been using them heavily on and off-road (got about 13K miles on them) and they handle really well.

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.

After years and years and hundreds of thousands of mils on numerous trucks, I completely abandoned the BFG's and went to the Cooper AT/3. I have them on my Ranger 4WD, my F150 SCrew 4WD, and just put them on the new Tacoma. Great reviews for all uses and great deals can be found. I just got a deal at Big Brand for $250 off 5 tires.

Go to Tire Rack and check out comparisons. Same on Big Brand's site.

If you want another C load rated tire, I have been very happy with my Cooper Discoverer AT3 LTs. They are quiet on-road and carry the "3-peak mountain snowflake" rating.

+1 for Toyo Open Country A/T3. They've been absolutely amazing for me. Perfect grip off road in every situation and well-mannered on road. What more do you need from a tire really? They aren't the most aggressive sidewall, but I really do like the tread pattern style.

I went with General Grabber A/TX as that tire was highest rated for snow on Tire Rack's survey results of on/off road tires. Plus they are ready to be studded.
Important if you drive in snowy mountains like me.

265/75r16 standard, not P rated. If I had to do it again I would have gone with 285 or larger which I believe are available in LT/10 ply only.

I'm honestly shocked at how good these tires grip. Very very minimal (no) slippage. I feel like I'm using an actual modern tire instead of some antiquated trash design.
