Wanted to grab a new pair of tires, but can't really decide. I want to keep my 16" OR Rims, and the majority of my off roading is in sand, but I don't want tires that destroy my gas milage. Any suggestions?

Get some pizza cutters! From what I’ve been reading here, 255/85/16 is a popular pizza cutter size and has positive remarks. Plus they fit on stock 2018 Tacos with no modifications.

A semi-aggressive all-terrain tire built in standard load (SL) construction may be a good option to explore - the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S or Continental Terrain Contact A/T for example.

The semi-aggressive tread will perform well in sand and won't lose too much on-road performance like some of the more aggressive models.

Pizza cutters are not good sand tires. Wide with moderate tread works best.
