I think sometimes it's hit or miss on tires with some brands having a few more issues than others. I purchased Bridgestone Revo 3's from Discount Tire, mount and balance were spot on smooth as butter on the interstate at speed. Very happy with my experience from Discount and Bridgestone.

Worse tires i ever had were general grabber AT/2's. They were impossible to balance. Finally got my tire dealer to get me another manufactures tire...the goodyear adventure's balanced great. They chalked it up to a bad set of tires, probably made during the manufacturing process.

I can tell you exactly what they did. They rotated your tires front to back. This is standard practice for a ride quality issue. You always put the worst rolling tires on the back. If you are feeling it in the seat, you have a problem. It could be the tires. Falken doesn't have the best quality control and is more prone to issues than other tires. There are a number of things that could cause our problem, but you need to get someone that knows what they are doing. Discount is as good of a tire dealer than any, and probably better than most, but any shop can have techs that aren't the best and Toyota trucks are notoriously finicky.

In my previous career with Hunter and Snap On Equipment I used to see chasing weights ALOT. OP check to see if any of the weight is close to opposite the the other weight on the rim which causes a weight counterbalance issue and is a classic sign of chasing weight. Furthermore, all that weight is usually the sign of an out-of-round tire or improper mounting of tire asy on the machine ie front coning vs. backconing, not using the Haweka lug adapter etc.

just rechecked this morning. It seems like all tires have at least a handful of these small weights. One in the back is stacked!

Check out the picture I just posted above. I don’t see any on the opposite side but seems like a shit lot of weights. There must be some issue here

Ko2 are very over rated. I had mine for two years and the inside thread is wearing out. Could be because I need an front alignment. Anyway these tires do poorly on damp pavement. My next tire will be Nitto grapplers

Are these all in the same spot on the rim? Or are there separate groups of weights? There should only be 1 group of weights per bead (1 inner, and 1 outer).

The tire with the most weights is the most suspect.

    3" lift, 33" wheels
what is your size tires do you have and is it lifted? If its lifted what are the shock and springs? I have the same issue but its due to me putting in stiffer spring on bilstiens shocks with no way for me to adjust the shocks so my steering wheel shack. Everything was running smooth until i put in stiffer springs in.

I have a 2017 Tacoma off-road and finally needed new tires and went with the falken wildpeak at3’s on stock rims. I haven’t felt any vibrations the tires honestly made the truck drive great. So it definitely sounds like the wheels are not properly balanced or a tire is defective and needs to be replaced under warranty. Did you also get an alignment done when you had the tires replaced?

In order to balance a tire you have to be smarter than the machine they did such a good job on the front what make you think they did the same on the rear? It's not the truck it wasn't shaking before they changed the tires.

Haweka lug centric adapter and road force. Accept no other. I have been down this road with my 2nd gen. I know Direct tire has this. If yours does not find a shop that does.

My Wildpeaks have vibrated my truck since day one. Multiple rebalanced. I warrantied them and got a new set and still shakes. They insisted I had a back method wheel so I warrantied the wheel. Still shakes. Long story short, love the tire but not worth the annoying daily shake.

The newer Coates balancing machine does not have the correct arbors for the TRD OR alloys. I found that out with my local shop, as they rebalanced my wheels twice and still had wicked vibrations over 65mph.

Well it depends on Susan in the supply department. You could have 3 boxes of .5oz weights and 4 boxes of .25oz weights and zero boxes of 1.0oz weights so then there is a math issue because this guy only makes like $7.85 a hour. Or suppose he lives in a sandy environment and rolled in with 2.0oz of sand inside the rear wheel that $7.85 did not scrape off because his main squeeze just shut off all the trim for this week.
    I'll be here all week.

i don't think thats to much weight, i do believe that it is spread out over to large of an area. they should not have used 1/4oz weights(they are the least expensive though) 1oz stickies in the same weight, same spot would most likely rid you of your vibration. unless the tire is out of round.
