I'm thinking a very similar low key route for my 12 :), already have some 265/70/17 BFG's waiting to put on (pick the truck up Thursday)- going to take some ride height measurements and see how much of a lift up front I need (if any)- I'll either go w/ 5100's (think you might have a typo w/ your shocks) or possibly Eibach Springs on the oe Bilsteins

I do have a Avid lightbar on the way though, will likely top it w/ a couple of Hella 4000's- I'm out at night frequently :D

looks good. keep the step bars even if you don't use. you will have passengers that will appreciate it. although, if you do any wheeling, get rid of them and add some sliders.

If you want your truck to be level set the 5100's at 1.75 inches. If you add an AAL you will have a slight rake or you can bump them up to 2.5 inches and be good :)

5100's are made by bilstien they are a shock that you can set the preload on. All this means is you can set the coil at 0, .85, 1.75, and 2.5 inches. 5100's are very popular and the ride and quality is great. Had I not scored a great deal on my coilovers I would have got the 5100's. Any more questions, feel free to ask.

^^ thats a nice set up, if i ever decide to lift mine any higher (i want to, just dont need to) thats the look id be going for. One of these days ill work up the nerve to paint my badges and grill surround or swap for a black rear bumper and grill surround.

Measure your height to see how high you need to lift the front, different tacoma models are different heights. 1.75" would have make me nose high by .25" or .5". With mine set at .85" i am sitting right around .25" to .5" high in the rear, which is better for me since i pull a boat or 4-wheeler.
