Check out the Goodyear with Kevlar. Those look awesome. When I get another pair of mud terrains, I really wanna try those.

Also, If this is your first time driving on mud terrains, please be careful driving in the rain.

They'll just slide a lot easier than normal street tires. Just start off slow and slow down slow.

For example, I drove in California for months with mud tires with no problems because there was no rain ever. But once I moved to Tennessee, it rained once, and I didn't pay too much attention to it....

I was headed towards a stop sign at normal speed and as soon as I hit the brakes, my tires lost traction and I slid into the person in front of me at about 7-10MPH. From there on, I learned to be careful in the rain.

If it's rainy where you live, you could get the tires SIPED. This will help rain traction a lot from what I hear. I tried calling places all over in TN, but can't find a single person who will do it due to liability. It probably depends on the state.

Long story short, drive slower from a stop and brake a lot slower and farther behind. And to be fair, it probably depends on what mud tire you get. Some tires may do better in rain.

    La Vergne.

    How was NADC?

Curious, did you hear about the whole "free college thing" for TN residents? I'm new here so this is a strange new concept to me.

Maybe I'm paranoid but I drive with more caution in the rain no matter what I am driving.
With any all terrain tire the traction won't be as good as an all season tire. But you can hydroplane in rain with any tire. It is just much more likely to happen in a truck with all terrains and even more so with muds.

There's a thread on black 3rd generation Tacomas where a guy with a black TRD Sport bought the exact same tires

I have had mine since October and put about 6,000 miles on them so far. Great ride and quiet on the highway. Really aggressive, others are in this thread
