I'm going to get new tires for my truck. My question is does anyone knows if I can use my spare tire for one of the new ones? I have'nt used it yet and it will match the new tires I will be purchasing.

Sure, but by the time you dis mount and mount the old on the spare, it may not be that much of a savings.

Yes, but the other 3 should match the spare. Why not just get 4 new tires?

Dude, the spare is the least of your worries. Get the tires you want and a good spare. Maybe even look at treadwright.

It was posted "Why not just get 4 tires" Why? when you have 1 brand new one wasting away below the truck. I ask "Why not just buy 3 tires."

Yes, the spare is full size and you will only need to buy 3 new ones and then just save the one with the best tread and have it for a spare. The cost to take it off the spare wheel and put an old one back on the wheel should be less than 45 bucks. Much cheaper than buying a 4th $150 tire.

I would take the spare down myself and put it back up myself.

    I guess I'm cheap.
