is there any way i can get some more lift just in the front so that my tires will fit better? preferably not a body lift.

    getting there....
if you get the wheelers wheels....get ones that are the type b wheel.............backspacing is 3.5 or 4 inches...........the wheel/tires will stick out more, less chance of rubbing.

3 inch suspension lift, 2 inch body lift, K&N air filter, 33x12.5x15 tires on 15x10 steel wheels
not to be negative. but i have the exact body style tacoma you do, and with a 3 inch lift i couldn't even turn the wheels more than half way without rubbing either the bumper or the body (33x12.5 tires, on 15x10 wheels). i had to put a 2 inch body lift on to clear them. then to eliminate all rubbing i installed bushwacker cut out flares. just so you know you will have to cut atleast 2-3 inches off the bumper and even cut into the cab if you dont lift it any more. heres a pic of mine. you cant really tell cause the pics are kinda small, but the gap between the tire and wheel well in the first pic is about 2 inchs or so, where as in the second pic its closer to 5 inches.
