    Hi all!
New to Denver and looking for a reputable Tacoma mechanic. Preferably someone with knowledge on fixing a daily driver/weekend trail rigs front end clunks and clicks. Also needs a steering rack soon I’m thinking by the squeals.

Recently installed Total Chaos UCA’s, OME 2887’s and Bilstein 5100s...and new to me calipers from a wrecked truck with lower miles. Since the install I’ve had a clunking/clicking come from somewhere in those parts.

Anyone with knowledge or a helping hand, I’d greatly appreciate!!! Thanks!

On a different note, I just called high country performance to see what it might be to bolt on my sliders and skid plate because I'm lazy, thinking maybe an hour or two...NOPE quoted 5 hours 625 dollars! I think I'll take 2 hours and a socket set to bolt them on myself...

That's some highway robbery! Now, I haven't actually done anything other than looking at the install instructions, but I would say it should take a shop 2 hours to do these things. Maybe 1-1.5 hours on the sliders, and 30 minutes on the skid plate. Can't be that hard IMO. They told me 4 hours for sliders and 1 hour for the skid. Are they making fabbing up the sliders too?!

@CO MTN Steve thanks for the recommendation!

@YamaDirtrider I'll send you a PM here in a few weeks when they come in! If I can't find a friend to help hold up a slider, I'm sure it'll be much faster and easier to just have you get them on for me

I sold a pair of bolt on sliders to a member here a few years ago. My price included delivery and installation. Took about 10 minutes in his apartment/townhouse parking lot in the dark. :D

Never been a big fan of High Country. Pretentious and expensive. But they've found a clientele who will pay and is likely pretentious too.

Where are you located? My nephew works out of his garage in Thornton. He's REALLY good though. Specializes in high HP stuff but has really good knowledge in all things automotive. He worked at Colorado Performance Unlimited for more than a few years.
