    Hi all,
I just bought a 2010 TRD Tacoma. It needs a little work but in great shape. One question I have is on the headlights. The lenses are cloudy and the driver side is developing a crack so i want to replace them. When i look at light assemblies for that year they say standard or sport. From some other reading I was doing the lights are physically the same and should be interchangeable. Would a TRD be considered a sport package or standard. I know that there are some TRD sport trucks. This just has the TRD offroad/towing package.

Also I see that the bed has little boxes molded into the sides. On the driver side over the wheel well but just behind the gas fill there is a hole in the side of the bed. Looks factory cut but when I look for the replacement some places are saying that is not a factory cutout. Can anyone confirm if there is indeed a door or cubby on the the drivers side above the wheel well?

    Thanks for any help.

Replacement /aftermarket headlights should be interchangeable.

The cutout you describe is factory, but should have a cubby/box in the recess. No door or cover like the ones close to the tailgate.

I just bought a 10’ also. Congratulations. My bed has covers on all of the storage boxes. And my head lights are the same. I want to get new ones.

Sorry I don't know how to attach pics yet. I found this diagram. Would I be looking for the TypeA part numbers?
    https://parts.villagetoyota.com/a/T...6727671/REAR-BODY-SIDE-PANEL/674470-6554.html

    Or this?

These are the lights I was looking to purchase. Since these are not OEM they should work?

Thanks again for taking the time to answer. If those are the prices for a plastic box I might just cover it over with a flat piece of plastic and order something like this.

    Thanks again.

Yup there are tabs that slide into those holes. Yeah, it’s just fiber glass. You could make one for 15$ lol

Thanks for the replys. As for the lights they come with a 10 year warranty, which does not mean anything if the company is out of business :) Is there a good brand of lights that are commonly used as replacements?

Right now it's just a hole in the side of the bed. No cubby. No door.

If you have the trd sport you’re headlights have a smoke to them . That’s what i have the standard ones are more brighter chrome. And of course there more expensive. I bought oem I looked around on line and found them for about $280 4A86B776-7BE4-4C3E-96A4-66A429080C8E.jpg

Looking at headlights too. Do you remember where you found them for $280? That's less than I'm seeing anywhere

Taco.jpg My 2010 PreRunner has the cubbies over the wheelwells. No covers, and no way to secure them.

I cheaped out and bought aftermarket headlights on Amazon. They were about $110 for the pair, and after 18 months they're holding up well.
