new to the forum but did some research on here before deciding on what to get. Just got a 2014 TRD off-road today with 34,k miles. First Tacoma I've owned and even though I've only had it for about 3 hours I'm pretty psyched on it. Anyone have suggestions on what to do to it now?

Needs new tires soon so debating on the stock size or going larger. Possibly a leveling kit but not sure yet. If anyone has suggestions on the largest size I can without a lift feel free to chime in looking to stay with 16's.

prevent your tailgate from being stolen if it doesn't already have a lock or hose clamp.

Otherwise enjoy it for a few days first

    Nice truck!

For first mods - my first mod was a nice coating of dirt and mud. Took it to a trail within an hour of taking delivery of it.

As for tires 265/75R16 work for non-lifted truck. Bigger than that requires added work. That's +1 over the stock size. I ran those for a while until I upgraded to 17" wheels, then went 265/70R17, which is the same size.

Awesome looking truck. I've always liked red with dark accents like the side steps and dark tint. Really like the TRD wheels!

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/sliding-window-security-bar.245434/

Cheap and neat way to prevent someone from getting in through your sliding rear window.

I really like the in channel vent visors. I leave mine cracked a lot of the time and have found them to be beneficial even in cold weather. I can leave the windows cracked a hair and if I have frost on the side windows, when I warm the truck up the ventvisors will direct the warm air down across the window and defrost it.

Nice truck, love the wheels. I would first learn YOUR truck and do maintence regardless of what you've been told, fluids, plugs etc...

Some right when they get the truck buy a set of KO2s before even checking the damn oil dip stick level. :cookiemonster:

Thanks Doublemind took it to the dealer 2 days after I got it for oil change and to have them look everything over. Hard to trust the previous owner when they're a complete stranger
