Hey everyone. Moved to Prescott a few months ago and need guidance on finding trails. I have a 2x4 Tacoma so I don't wanna destroy it on some crazy trails.

I'm in Prescott and wheel as much as my time allows. There's a trail that will go from Phoenix to Prescott... Actually, maybe a few but the one I have done is back way to crown king and then heading from crown king to Dewey. Not quite Prescott but I didn't really think senator highway will be enjoyable .

DeSoto mine is a good trail that's not far from otescPre but I don't think you can do that one in 2wd. Crown king trail has bypasses so I think that may work in 2wd with some agresssive tires .

I'm down what trail are you thinking of doing? I just did the Copper Basin to Thumb Butte the long way today, it took me 4.5 hours to do 25 miles but it was worth it!

What kind of wheeling are you into mostly? Scenic or obstacles? There's one trail up off of 89A that I started to explore but I didn't get too far since I was solo. It seems like a pretty cool trail. I'll post some Google images of it later this evening.

I'm always down for crown king or DeSoto mine. Those are good ones that is close to us, aside from the start of the crown king trail.

I'm into both kinds. I just got the Tacoma so I don't have full body skids yet. So nothing too serious. I would prefer not to have tight trails with pinstriping. The Cooper Basin to thumb Butte trail I had to cut down a few trees for my truck to fit on some parts of the trail. I know of some scenic and obstacle trails off Senator Highway. I really like offroading in the woods I'm not to much into offroading in the desert. I have done Prescott to Cooper Basin a while ago and it was easy. I tried to do it again recently and they smoothed the roads out so much that I saw mini vans and people mountain biking on the road so I didn't continue down the trail. I think I've heard of DeSoto mine but I'm not sure I've done it. I haven't done the Crown king to Lake pleasant yet, I heard I need a lift and skids for it but I also heard there is bypasses but if I did that I would go From lake pleasant all the way to Prescott which would take a long time.
