Hi there, just recently acquired a new to me 2006 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab V6 4x4 with Towing Package :).

Since the truck is pretty much mint with stock everything, the first project is the audio system.

Cue the music for a love hate relationship with those child seat anchors, and needing just 1 more inch of space.

Thanks. Next, on to the wiring and finding a non door place to hide the crossovers. To YouTube :)

On a side note, I also have to bring it in to the dealer to get the frame inspection done... Here's hoping they decide I need a new frame. It's the only part of the truck that's rusty... It's sad it's like a new carriage on the oldest rustiest pieces of steel around.

Thanks all. Busy working on her now. Gotta run the wiring for amp, speakers, crossovers and lay out my amp board.

Well, so far everything's been a bit of a battle. But power cable run, shaved sub fits, amp board is carpeted, cabled, and bolted in to the stock passenger side mounts. Crossovers hidden - barely -beside the shifter in the centre console... And parts of the interior actually went back on the truck to stay tonight. (I hope). HU is wired, center front cubby modded for USB and Aux cable pass thru... Now to fit the components into the doors on my home made MDF mounts.

    Tomorrow. :)
