Hello friends. I am new to the forum. I live in Phoenix Arizona and I have looking to buy a 2005+ 4X4. I want a Doublecab, Automatic and would prefer a TRD model, Reverse cam and JBL (Or aftermarket) audio.

If someone on here is relatively nearby and looking to sell or you have seen a deal somewhere please drop me a message. I have all the funds in order on my end.

Probably a question for another thread but I am engaged in negotiations on a Tacoma where the lien is through Toyota Financial and it seems difficult to get the title. Anyone know about that process?

Nice. A good warm welcome, I take it I found the forum I will be spending some time in.

Im pretty serious about getting a Taco. My truck was stolen on 9/11 and I just got my insurance settlement check so I am on the steady prowl to get something soon.

I have been checking craigslist but I am a little irritated with some of the dishonest sellers and the dealers who have caused a decline in the pre owned market by lowballing or buying each good deal then slapping the certified name on it to get that huge markup.

I drove 240 miles last weekend for a seller who described his truck as good condition inside and out but I got there to find 7, yes 7 cigarette burns and the smell to go with it on the inside. The paint was in rough condition nearly to the consistency of sandpaper in areas. There was a hesitation when I tried to start the truck which threw another red flag to me for something that only had 60K miles I couldnt imagine it having engine problems. Yet the seller had the gull to quote very good to excellent KBB value. Anyhow, Im not here to whine and complain, I just wanted to get that experience off my chest.

Although I can possibly afford it (and I like the new interior) I am not looking to buy a new dealer model because I feel a Gen3 is right around the corner and I dont want to take that depreciation hit knowing I will want the new bodystyle.
