    Hello,
This is my first post on TW and my first Tacoma, though not my first Toyota. I have a 2004 Tundra Doublecab that is my daily driver.
My tundra has been through a few revisions and has a handful of semi-unique modifications. You can find my tundra stuff here.

I recently purchased a very rough 1996 RC 2WD Taco with 307k miles in the hopes of modifying it to be a fun street truck. I will probably start a build thread at some point, though it won't be this thread.

I am trying to find the specs for the factory fuel pump pressure and flow rate, as I'm trying to figure out the fuel system for my upcoming engine swap.
I poked around some auto parts websites to look at various aftermarket replacement pumps, but there seems to be a semi-wide range of available specs.

I am also very interested in any build threads where people have converted the rear suspension to links & coilovers, as well as interior modifications such as roll cages, harnesses and bucket seats. Feel free to shill your threads/builds here.

    Thanks,
    scooterprint - Jeremy

Pressure should be around 41-43 psi.
I have no idea on flow rate.

I was under the impression that the pump outputs significantly more than 43 PSI of fuel pressure, but the regulator on the fuel rail limits the pressure that makes it to the injectors. But I could be mistaken, fuel system stuff is still somewhat of a mystery to me.

    That is correct.
I don’t know what it is, I don’t remember if the 1st Gen is vacuum operated?
If so, it shouldn’t be hard to check.

I'm just trying to match the flow rate & pressure to the new engine's fuel requirements. The engine I'm putting in has its own vacuum-actuated regulator. I'm trying to figure out if the stock Tacoma fuel pump is going to cut the mustard or if I will have to buy a fuel pump that matches the donor vehicle for the engine. Eventually, regardless of what I do now, I will be putting a significantly larger/more powerful pump in, but right now the name of the game is just to get the 2JZ into the Tacoma running on as much factory equipment as possible.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Your stock pump will work fine to get you started .

till you up grade to a aftermarket stand alone Engine management system.

Cool beans. Google said the 2RZ has 290cc injectors and the 2J has 330CC injectors, so the overall fuel requirement isn’t going to be massively different.
