I just got a 2014 TRD Sport just last week. I used to drive a 95 Tacoma until I sold it for a Subaru STi. Fun car but I missed my old Tacoma so I decided to make a change!

I want to make a few mods to the truck, but I want to keep it pretty mild. I want a leveling kit in the front, step bars, and new wheels and bigger tires.

I had a question about a leveling kit tho if anyone could help? I know the back is a little higher than the front, but I'm not sure by how much. I'm also not sure what leveling kit to go with. I see alot of people saying to go with the 5100s, but do I need to replace all 4? Doesn't the TRD Sport have upgraded suspension? I just want it leveled out so I can run 33s.

I was also curious up to what size tires I could fit after a leveling kit. I've heard 33s should be okay, but I was wondering if anyone could confirm?

I don't know if you offroad but the 33's are going to rub on cab mounts while turning , even if lifted, the 5100's , can't go wrong with them, on 2nd gens. you can get away with an inch or so of lift in rear without changing shocks (length wise) but why not get them for rear, you'll benefit from added dampening ..

    Thanks for the welcome!

I won't be doing much of any offroading. She's going to be my street queen :) But I do want to lift the front a tad, and want to run bigger tires! Plus, I'm trying to go cheap with the lift. Now that I bought the truck, I'm broke for a little :)

I want to copy a build like this. Such a beautiful truck. Any idea the lift on that or the tire size?

Welcome to T/W I have 2015 Sport and just had 5100 bilsteins set at 0 and 884 coils and I love how it rides and handles. It leveled my truck out. I took off my Bilstein stock shocks and did 5100 all around.

I just ordered my 5100s last night! Only plan on doing the front now. Maybe 2 inches? What are 884 coils? I plan on keeping my stock coils for now, people say they ride fine so I was going to go a few hundred miles and find out.
I plan on running some bigger tires after I level the front!

I bought my 5100 and 884 coils from Headstrong off road. The coils lift the front about 2 inches.and setting the bilsteins at 0. Some people think it's better to lift with the coils for a less harsh ride.

Maybe I'll have to consider that. Would you consider it a huge benefit lifting with the coils vs shocks? Have any experience?
Also what's the benefit of 884 vs 885s. Isn't 885 recommended for dclb (which is what I've got).

If you look on headstrong off road web site I believe the 885 lifts the front a little higher than the 884 's I did not lift my back of truck just had 5100 put on. That way I would stay level with the 884's.
