    2018 black sport manual trans
All my 3 Tacoma's were/is black and manual transmission. This one is a 2018 V6 cylinder sport that replaced a 2014 TRD 4 cylinder; it just didn't have enough power so ....

I'm chasing two problems that seem unrelated but one never knows. About a year ago, my center cab light stopped working when door opened or with the switch, checked fuses, bulb.. all the normal stuff. Never found the problem but didn't care enough to spend a lot of effort chasing it. Last night it worked? Dim, but it worked. Today, not so much. Still not about to chase the cause, if that is all that is broken. BUT....

About 2 months ago my radio started power reseting, occasionally? Can go days without a "reboot" of the radio OR it can happen several times in a few miles traveled. I've read BlueTooth causes it and followed all suggestions but didn't resolve the problem. A person at a body shop said he saw a weak spring in the steering column radio controls cause that problem. More than I want to get into, I'm not diving into that space!

Today, I saw a post on this forum suggesting to install updates and a pointer "to the most up-to-date multimedia firmware for our 3rd Gen Tacoma's". I haven't pulled the updates or tried any of this "yet" but it's did get me to join this forum.
