Hey everyone! Called my local dealer to put a deposit down on a new Tacoma TRD Pro. The dealer is trying to push me into this instead since it is sitting in their showroom rather than wait 8-12 months to source my “unicorn” spec.

This thing is pretty awesome, minus the interior with lots of upgrades, but 65k?

What I asked for - 22/23 Tacoma TRD pro, white, manual, predator tubes.

Wow.custom package priced at 25t? If you have the $$ why not. High Price is relative to one’s income .

seems they should do a lot better, given they are pushing you towards a truck that they want to get rid of,,, rather than the truck you asked them for?
I mean what are we talking here- about $4-5k worth of upgrades, maybe another $1k in labor and they are charging $25k? come on man

EDIT: also keep in mind, your resale on that will be for shit, the market doesn't pay extra for mods. A Pro will always be titled as such and command a higher resale.

I'dda probably dotted his eye for evening asking me if I wanted to buy that truck at that price,, that's damn insulting.

Ya, that’s what I said, seems excessive for an Off Road. They don’t appear to be marking up from MSRP but I don’t know how much padding is in that 25k in upgrades.

They're pushing you into that because their margin is ridiculous. Their margin on the PRO would be their normal amount I'm guessing depending on what you are paying.

All joking aside I can't add up all their accessories to equal 25k. Even with huge mark ups.
    Maybe 20k. Max.

Run away from the White Taco. :pout:

    All of them.
After owning a tacoma for 5 years and knowing what Exactly they are. No frigging way I'd pay anywhere close to that.

    Welcome to the forum :hattip:

I would say excessive was a very mild word choice.:eek:

MSRP on a manual Pro is $46,585 and it will hold Pro resale value.

BTW, MSRP on the TRD lift kit is $1450 not including installation.

Recommend you find a dealer in the Denver area that isn’t trying to profit too heavily on their customers. They have a ton of business in that state so surely one of the dealers values long term business.

Here’s Something I’ve not read on this board before:

“Buy the Pro and save a ton of money!”

    seriously!

    Get a pro for <50k

you’ll lose $25k for the pleasure of driving that thing off the lot!
