New to the group need canopy advise

Hi everyone,

I have a 2012 Dbl Cab. The truck will be paid off soon and I can finally put the cash towards some minor mods. For now I am on the hunt for a canopy. I have located one a ways away from me and don't want to waste gas driving to it if it doesn't fit.

So the question...a canopy that fits a 95 to 07 Tacoma Access Cab. Will it fit my 2012 Dbl Cab?
The specs are 74.5inches in length. I measured my box at 74 and a bit. Given my measuring skills, it seems close. Width is another thing. Any advise? Thanks it's appreciated.

I didnt think camper shells fit cross-generation Tacoma's (1st/2nd Gen). Are you sure that part in bold is accurate?

 

Thanks guys. The ad states it should fit a 95 to 07 and to be honest I have no clue how to properly measure for the canopy other than YT videos. Looks like it will be too small though.

 

100% sure it will not be a match. You could "make it" fit, but it will never fit properly.

The ad probably meant to say the canopy would fit a 95-04 Tacoma (first gen).
