New to the Group - Second Tacoma

Hello All,

Okay, I am the new guy! I bought my 2000 new and drove it for 14 Years. I had over 338,000 miles on it when I had to let it go. It was an extended cab and I loved it. I had an A.R.E. camper on the back and sleeper inside. I had three Yamika bars on the camper that I used to carry bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, etc. I had it stocked with MagLites, a Highlift, and ran a Cobra CB with Weather Radio.

My friends referred to my ride as the Hotel Tacoma and we used the heck out of it. We went everywhere in it and my wife cried when we let it go. There were tons of fly fishing trips, white water trips, skiing, climbing and just roaming the country side in search of the perfect campsite.

I recently purchased a 2012 Tacoma Access Cab with only 5,400 miles on it. It is taking some getting use to, but I am sure our relationship will grow with time. I just put an A.R.E. camper on it, but well, that is a totally different topic (that plastic on the back door, uh, man, oh well). Anyway, I am on the site. I can’t believe that I had a Tacoma for so long and preached the truth, but was not aware of this site. So I have drank the Kool Aid and joined forces with others that appreciate what the Tacoma has to offer.
