What's up everyone I'm new to the group I've been here reading a lot and decided to join in so I can interact and ask some questions. I drive an 09 double cab Tacoma Trd sport. Was born and raised in SoCal and moved out to Texas 3 years ago. I'm looking forward to learning lots from you guys and hopefully meet up with some other Taco owners.

Damn, we are in the same boat! Born and raised in SoCal (Redondo Bch), moved the family out to Austin area about 3 1/2 years ago.
It's definitely different out here, some good.......some bad (like all things, right)?
Anyhow, welcome! I am fairly new around here myself, good group of knowledgeable folks! Plenty to learn about around here.
All the best brother, ....see you around the forum.

Thanks man! Texas is definitely different but in a good way for my family. I was born in Long Beach, and before moving to Texas I lived 15 mins away form Huntington Beach. That's what we miss the most is the beaches and good Mexican food. Lol
    see you around man

My wife is from Long Beach and my son started high school in Huntington Bch (Freshman year)....small world! I actually worked for the phone company (Verizon" at the Huntington yard off of Slater.

Dude, I miss the food BIG TIME! This Tex Mex thing blows!!:stirthepot: American cheese on Mexican food?? WTF! They need a "Super MEX" out here! LOL! The worst Mexican food on this planet here in Central Texas (sorry, but true). That's just my opinion, sorry.:crapstorm:

Also, I miss good ol fashion diners like Pauls Place - Cheesburger Specials or Breakfast burritos Cali style (no breakfast taco). Man, I miss the sea breeze and air!

The good- The people are super nice out here in Texas (while a little rigid on their beliefs) but its all good, mostly good peeps. The property value out here is insanely well priced, lots of opportunities here.

All in all a difficult but good move for us but it still hurts when we stop and think too much about it.

All the best bro.....keep in touch.

Dang it is a small world!
And for the food you named two of the places we are eating at in a couple weeks on vacation. I don't get why there isn't any charbroiled hamburger places out here like Paul's, and if Alberto's was out here they would make a killing. I had to lol when you mentioned breakfast tacos that's to damn funny, I don't get some of the things they do out here and yes some are very strong in their ways. Best thing is the house pricing I couldn't even get a shack in Cali for what I payed for my new build. I can't wait to get out there my buddy is lifting my truck and getting new wheels and tires to go with. I'll see you around the forum man! Take care bro
