Tonneau cover, running boards, mud flaps
i just purchased a 2019 Cement Grey Tacoma 4x4, picking it up tomorrow night after they install a few accessories. I ordered the tri-fold tonneau cover, the black stealth running boards, mud flaps, all weather mats, and tonight I ordered the rubber bed mat so me and my dog can hang out at the beach together a little more comfortably in the back. I saw a set of nice black Rockstar wheels and tires at the parts store tonight for a little over $2k, the guy said it includes a lift kit so that the tires didn’t rub, maybe a spacer kit? Any tips in this area? The windows were tinted except for the front, so they’ll be done tomorrow and I think it should look pretty nice. I don’t think it has the LED fog lights so that will be something to upgrade, too.
I almost went with a Ridgeline as I’m a little big for the Taco (6’3” 235 lbs), but I’m coming out of a MINI so has to be a little more room, right? I looked for about 2 months before I found a dealer that would shoot straight with me, I live in South Florida and started shopping out of state, much more honest people. Came real close to buying out of state when I found this one nearby, and I was in and out in an hour with the truck! Thank God that’s behind me now! At least for a few years. Will be looking to get a small boat up to 5k lbs so glad I’ll have a bit more tow rating than I would have with a Ridgeline. Wish I had that speaker system in the bed, though, that was cool. Have to figure out how to do that.
Looking forward to tips and advice on the forum.
    Swerve Carefully!
    Steve

Floor mats, replacing fog lights, adding speakers to the bed, pros and cons of lifts, shock replacement; you name it, people here can help. Check out the "build threads" for excellent ideas on how to spend your money.

And congratulations on your TACO choice and narrowly missing becoming a Ridgeline owner . . .:)

    2015 Red Tacoma TRD
I've been visiting this great site for about a month and finally joined. I have a 2015 Tacoma TRD that I bought new and absolutely love. The maintenance package we bought with the truck is now gone, so this weekend I'm doing the following:
    • Change the oil (Mobil 1)
    • Change rear differential fluid (Mobil 1)
    • change front differential fluid (Mobil 1)
    • Add SumoSprings to rear axle
    • Add Wheeler SuperBumps to front axle
    • Changing front headlights to VOSLA +100 from Rally Lights (not ready to add HID)
    • Changing fog lights to VOSLA +120 from Rally Lights (not ready to add HID)
    • Check to see if I need a wiring harness for the above lights
    • Adding lock to tailgate
    • Soon I'll be adding some LED lights from Jumpers LEDs, who has been very helpful.
A month ago I couldn't have told you how to do all this, but now I'm confident I can because of all I've read on this wonderful site. You are all truly very special people to share such insight and experiences. All I can say is THANK YOU! You have much more experience than I will every have, but I will surly attempt to add any insight I gain by working on my truck.
