    Hi,

I've just purchased a 2016 toyota tacoma trd off road in magnetic grey. I've had a 2005 Tacoma and also have a 2014 4RUNNER which is my wife's ride. I'll be doing some things to my taco as I go but mostly enjoying it off road! So far I've installed the ICI Magnum RT steps, tinted the windows all the way around, have the toyota mud flaps, toyota all weather mats and a hitch step to access the bed with the toyota tanue cover installed.

I love checking out all the other great Tacos on the site and look forward to seeing and reading all about your rides! 2016-02-19 21.57.31.jpg

@GiantsTaco This looks great man, congrats!

I am looking at getting these same steps for my truck. I was wondering how hard they were to install, and if you could post a picture of the full side profile of the truck, so we can see how these steps look on the body of the truck.

Thanks everyone for the welcome, @AuburnTacomaTRD they were really easy to install, the brackets are beefy and fit the factory points on the rocker panel exactly. I put both on with some minor help from my son to hold them up while I bolted them in place. I took the decals off because they weren't on very well, just glued loosely which I thought was odd but I like them better without. 20160309_175242.jpg There is a video on their YouTube page that walks you through it. Here's a side view of them. You've got a great truck, I love that red color, these steps will look great with that color and the black accents.

@GiantsTaco I really like the way these look on your truck, they have a more aggressive look that goes well with the off-road package I think. I think I will order these and see what they look like on the truck. Pics to come.

@GiantsTaco Man that looks awesome. Mine came in the mail last night and Im gonna put them on tomorrow, hopefully. I did want to ask, how hard was it to install the bars and have you had any issues with it bumping or scratching the paint?

@AuburnTacomaTRD thanks, I really love them. Like I said the brackets are really beefy and hold the bar in perfect alignment keeping the reveal consistent and solid. No vibration or movement and the way they are designed no chance of them scratching your paint. I really recommend you view the YouTube video on installing them on their page, worth the 5 minutes. That said they are really easy to install and I'm not a mechanic and don't do a lot of my own builds. The only suggestion is that when you go to mount the bar on the brackets use tape to hold the bolts in position to make the holes on all three of the brackets, that was the only lyrics thing I needed to come up with on my own. Make sure you leave the bolts untightened on the bar until you've used the adjustment to get them exactly where you want them. You'll definitely want someone there to hold them up while you line up the bolts and adjust to your liking. They are going to look bad ass on your truck in that color, can't wait to see them on, share some pics and let me know how it goes

@GiantsTaco Thank you for the tip man, my wife is wanting me to take it to a shop to get it installed, but I have always done all the work on my cars.... but her concern has talked me into being nervous about doing it. lol. I will have a helper out there with me, and some jack stands of course, will post pictures after install tomorrow night!
