I just picked up an 06 TRD with a 6 speed. I'm coming from a ranger and what an improvement. I love the truck and have had it for about 3 weeks. Here's what I've had for issues in the past week or so-
    1. On long road trips after about an hour with having the radio tuned to any station it sounds like someone just turns the volume knob slowly down. Radio still works just fine on an CD in the 6 disc changer. If you shut the truck off for a while it will be fine but seems to be worse if you are running the heat. I am planning on doing a new Pioneer MVH 1400 with car play so this is not a huge issue but if it's something simple I'd like to know.
    2. 4 wheel drive works great when you are driving around town or if you have just started the truck but if you drive for a while, anything more then a half hour in 2 wheel drive then try and shift to 4 wheel high or low, the light will just continue to flash. If you shut the truck off for a while it will shift just fine.
    3. Can't get the rear locker to lock up, I know you need to be in 4 lo and to try turning and backing and every which way but it still won't lock. I have watched a youtube video on this. It seemed like a pretty straight forward fix. The guy just pulled the actuator out of the diff and slid the pin and the cleaned everything up and it worked.

Overall I love the truck, I do have a little rev hang between shifting but I've read that is normal.

Try engaging all the 4 Wheel Drive modes in Neutral with the truck stopped and Clutch pressed all the way IN.

Yes, you can engage 4H with the truck in gear. (I found it works better when stopped and not in gear.)

You need to be going less than 2mph to engage 4Lo with the clutch Press all the way IN.
It is better to be stopped if you can.

The locker should be engaged with the wheels STOPPED and clutch pressed IN.

The stock radios do have problems, mines changes stations randomly. More often in the cold.
