New to the Tacoma World

I’m in search of a truck camper top. I want the works though, just curious what is recommended. I want to be able to have the electric plug ins and shelving and everything. Got quoted for around 5,000. Anybody got any better ideas?

Look at Alucab, gofast and 4 wheel campers. All of them are more expensive than 5k though






Or do you mean a utilitarian topper? 5 grand will buy a nice topper shell

Not a topper - but I paid around $5,000 for this ... it's by Runaway out of Florida -
Comes empty you trick out the inside however you like.
May not suit your needs but it works great for me and the little wife.

Taking it out this weekend.

 

Maybe search around here and Facebook marketplace for a used camper shell and some drawers?

Also keep in mind that if you buy a new shell, wait times are typically 4-6 months + depending on the manufacturer. I’m in month #4 of waiting for my ARE cap to arrive and still no word even on a ship date.
