    I bought my 07 a couple years ago with about 100k. The only problem I found was an external oil timing cover leak, which is a time consuming/expensive fix, and unique to the 4.0. Not all of them leak though. Mine doesn’t drip enough to fix yet.

    I personally think demanding hard copy paper records is unrealistic for an older car. I don’t even keep paper records, I just have a google sheet with a line item with date and mileage stating when I replaced something.

    previous owner took care of the timing cover seal @180k through the dealership.

    I was able to get a decent picture of the service records between carfax and the Toyota website.
