New to this World

I just wanted to say hello. I have no doubts that I will make some rookie mistakes so be patient with me. I will be looking at a 2013 Tacoma double cab V6 4x4 131,000 miles later today for a potential purchase. Other than normal mechanical stuff any Tacoma specific things I should focus on when?

Good luck with your purchase. Look under the truck for frame rust and question any fresh paint or undercoat on the frame.

 

an extended test drive , have a mechanic put it on a lift for look - see

 

The Search feature on this forum is a seldom used but surprisingly helpful tool. Lift? Tires? Oil? It’s all there. Virtually every scenario and question will have likely been covered with more than one thread. Check it out, lots of great info. Welcome to TW!

As already stated, watch for fresh paint and/or undercoating on frame.

A mechanic that you trust who will be thorough and honest with you . Plus a drive that consists of your real world usage ie stop and go, highway speed, etc, and using A/C, and all functions including but not limited to the transfer case switching on and off.
