Hello everyone. the reason that ive joined is because I seem to be getting the wrong answer from people who believe thet know all about the tacoma but probably dont own one. Im wondering if someone out there has a rough country 4 inch lift and if they do then could you tell me what you believe is the best shock set up works best with this lift. i would prefer to have some comfort but quality off roading.

Welcome to TW! I just happen to have a Rough Country 4 inch D/B lift on my truck. First thing first, you’re gonna find a lot of R/C haters here but I say, my truck my money. R/C has been in business longer than most of the people who bitch about them have been alive. I’ve had my lift for about 5 1/2 years now and have had absolutely no issues whatsoever. I wanted the 4 inch lift because of the stance and a D/B lift is the only option. Now, to answer your question, I have Fox 2.0 shocks on my truck and I’m very pleased with them. I also have Firestone Ride Rite airbags which I run with about 10lbs air when unloaded. I would consider my comfort level as fairly stiff but I don’t mind as I’ve had lifted 4x4’s most of my life. I don’t do any hardcore wheeling but see a lot of corn and bean fields during deer season.
