This truck is partially mine because my grandfather passed away a couple years ago. The stock tires are going to need to be replaced soon, so I was going to see if I can talk my grandmother into getting new wheels and tires. I tend to play in the mud with the truck alittle bit. But it will mostly be driven on the road. I guess I need some help on what will look good. I am used to driving VW's

The truck looks just like this pretty much.

now I was thinking about getting the wheels
    [IMG]

    and these all terrain tires

I just went to tire rack and and did a wheel and tire package. the total came to about 1,300. I think I want to get a black wheel because i might end up smoke the taillights and headlights later on. but if you guy can link me to any good sites for better deals on wheels or anything to really help me out i would appreciate it.

here is a photo of my VW

There are tons of sites that will have good prices, just look around. And BTW I really like your VW. Especially the VW symbol delete with matching hood, looks great:thumbsup: My bro has a 2004.5 GLI so I have always liked jettas, is that a 1.8T?

Those wheels are pretty nice and will look good on the truck. BFG has decent A/T tires that are resonably priced.

Had tons on the old Taco's.... new Tundra is pretty stock
Might check out the Hankook Dynapro ATm RF10's. They're a good AT, also the Toyo ATs and Nitto Terra Grapplers too. As for wheels, what size are you looking at?

welcome to tw!!! im up the road in Rock Hill.

the biggest tire you can run with out a lift is a 265/75/16. those geolander's are ok tires, but they were out pretty quickly from what i have seen. check out wheelersoffroad .com.....they have some nice black steel and alum wheels that will look good on your ride..........................or even cheaper idea...do as lots of us have done and paint the stock wheels.

15% tinted back window, 25% on sides. Jardine catback exhaust system. horn modification, AFE pro dry S filter and secondary filter removed. All weather toyota tacoma mats.
yeah +1 on the geolanders. My buddy has em on his 93 Lifted F-150. he likes them, but said they were more designed for highway usage than off road usage.

Hankooks? i've seen more of them get blister in the sidewalls than i can care to remember. then again they were on Ford fleet trucks. are the A/T's really worth it. I've got the BFG A/T's and love them, though i might go to the M/Ts next time.

I just bought a 2010 tacoma access cab 4 cylinder automatic. Black sand pearl, sr 5 package. Will pick it up next week. I've owned 2 s-10's and 2 c-15 chevy's I think thats what they were called at any rate they were what they called back then half ton trucks. I didn't know the beds were made from composite material, what do you all think of it..

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
Get a bed matt, the plastic is reallyyyy slick and things fly around back there.
It lacks tie down points. but look around the site, there are things that can be done about it!
I have an access i 4 as well. pretty much happy with the truck overall!

    welcome to TW

nice truck and nice VW. However once you drive a truck, you will never want another car. you will see the beauty of owning a truck!

but dont go with those tires. go with some bfg at's or anything thats a little more aggressive than those
