O.K. Let me start by telling everyone on here what a dumbass I am. So I go out and get a set of M/T classic lock black rims in 17x9 with a set of fierce attitude M/T in 285/70/17. Here's where the dumbass part comes in. I'm on stock ride height and didn't even think about clearance in front while turning. Needless to say they fit great out back, not so much on front. They would probably rip my front fenders off if I turned and hit the gas. Since I'm a noob, hopefully you guys would give me some insight as to what I need to make these fit. I can already tell that the mudflaps are going to be removed but what else? Thanks in advance!!

Leveling kit or if you have the money a real suspension lift

mudflaps gotta go unless you want to dremmel them out like i did :) but yes you will need a levelling kit or a lift kit of some sort. front spacers are a cheap and quick fix but ride quality will go down. if you want to shell out the money, go with some bilstein 5100 shocks, front being adjustable height. adjust them accordingly and you should be good to go.

If I put the 5100's on the front, will I have to do any trimming to get the tires to fit? I may go with this for now and then at a later time get a full kit.

yes you'll have to trim some of the inner plastic fender. not sure how high you want to go, but the 5100s are adjustable all the way up to 2.5" of front lift :)

getting the tsb done thursday. does this add any lift in rear? If so, I was thinking on going up to the 2.5 on the 5100's. I think the truck kinda looks goofy with the flaps anyway. I've seen shorter ones on wrc rally cars! and Baja trucks!! lol!!

yeah go with 2.5 and tsb and you should be about 1" high in the front, but it'll solve your rubbing problem for the most part

i purchased some tsb leafs on here and set mine to 1.75" of front lift, sat almost perfectly level. maybe a slight bit of rear rake in that was fine for me. you can't go wrong with the 5100s
