Hello everyone. I just bought my tacoma last week and just have been trolling for some things to do. I figure why not sign up and post a pic. 2010 Taco 4x4 sr5 Crew Cab. Bought it from the dealer. Already went through the mud because I had to find some land Navigation points still rocking the dealer tags lol. Hope to learn some new things about my Taco and meet some cool people. Little about me. Name is Ray in 26. I live in Clarksville TN/ Ft. Campbell KY area. Im in the Military.:oldglory: My other rides are a 1970 SWB c10 which im selling and a 2002 Camaro SS which is fully built and just sits in the garage if you want to see pics of the others just ask, id be happy to share. Thanks guys and take care.

    Ray

Welcome to Tacoma World, I think you will really enjoy your new Truck. They are great pick-ups that come in multiple configurations so there is a version to suit just about any need. If you need just some basic and relatively inexpensive starter/security mods to think about, you might start with a couple I did to mine when I first got it.

A Pop N Lock tailgate locking handle with provision for the backup camera is a nice one to consider. The model is 5300, and they have them in speedway blue to match your TRD Sport exterior. Check Amazon for that one. You might also consider the hose clamp in combination with that one for all around tailgate security. Do a search, there is a thread all about tailgate thefts, and how to secure them from it.

You might also consider a Stantz locking gas cap to protect from gasoline siphoning or foreign materials being dumped into your tank by unsavory or jealous types. They run around $14, and are a nice addition.

Your picture shows yours no longer has the stock mud flaps on anymore, depending on your preference, you may want to add some back on the truck to protect from rock chips and such being thrown up on the truck from the tires. They are also nice to prevent kicking rocks back on cars behind you.

I's like to see pics of your Camaro, my other ride is a Camaro also, and I enjoy them as much as Tacomas. Good luck, and feel free to ask any questions, the people here are friendly and often willing to help you find answers.

    Welcome Ray,

I had a 2010 that I loved. I did have the TSB for the rear springs done for free by the dealer. You might not need it since yours is a TRD. It was a very dependable truck. It was an AC version that the Mrs didn't really like. So, I traded it in on a 2013 DCSB just like yours.

Good luck with your new Taco.

    Thank you for your service.
