i am new to the whole forum thing but here goes. i have owned two gm trucks in the past and have finally got my dream truck. it is an 01 tacoma xtra cab trd 5 speed full load with sunroof. black on gray. so far in 1500 kms i have saved 300$ on fuel alone. fun to drive and no little noises to annoy me. smoother riding and running than either gm be it the 350 or 4.3 v6.

well then id say im good for a while cause i only have 230000 km or 142000 miles. i was scared of the frame for a bit, as i had a dime sised soft spot. my dad is a structural welder and welded in a piece flush to replace the bad spot. good as new now. is there any good way to prevent rusting out on the frame in this filthy salt covered province?
