    Hey everyone,
I'm new to TW and getting ready to start my 2nd Gen build. I have an 06 access cab TRD Off road 6spd manual in Indigo Ink Pearl (gorgeous!). I've read into a lot of threads and have decided I'd like the OME 3" lift with 885's up front and the 2" toytec aal in the rear. This truck is a daily driver right now but will be a dedicated mountain truck in the next couple years. With this lift I hope to clear 255/85 R16 BFG KM2's on my stock TRD wheels. Anyone have experience with this set up? This truck will see snow regularly as well as rocky technical trails around Colorado. If this tire is rubs too much I'd go to the 265/75 R16 in the same tire (I used to run these on my 98 4runner SR5 with a 3" Rough Country lift and loved them and I have this size right now with my stock TRD suspension with no rubbing at all). Just trying to figure out if it's worth running the 255's cus I've read that new UCA's, Wheels spacers, and trimming may be possible if not necessary with this set-up. I'd consider the 285/75's but don't want to kill my gas mileage and power too much not to mention they require as much or more trimming than the 255's from what i've read. Thanks in advance for any advice, tips and experiences!

I have the same truck except an automatic and have been looking at the exact same set up. I've never lifted a truck before so I was asking questions in the central Virginia thread and a guy that was helping me said he has the same set up with 255's and didn't have to trim anything. He even left on his mud flaps. Another guy had the same lift but 285's and said he had to get wheel spacers, remove the mud flaps, trim the fenders and do the cab mount chop. He also had to get new uca's. Here's the link to that thread if you want to look through it, I think I started asking my initial question at the bottom of this page.
