I have a 2011 Extended Cab base model. I've added fog lights, and the switch for intermittent wiper blades (which the dealership told me wasn't possible, not only was it possible but it was insanely easy and only took about 15 mins got the instructions off of a post here). My next project is going to be to add wheels and tires leaning towards 265/70/17's my question is, is it a must to swap out my base model suspension? From what I've read on TW it doesn't sound like I need too but I just want to make sure I'm interpreting the treads correctly.

Welcome to TW!Your 2011 is fairly new so you'll be fine with wheels and 265/70/17's.
