About ready to buy a new leer 100R topper. I searched for all the advice on toppers and am in search of any additional information people can give me before I purchase my topper. Good experiences, bad experiences anything people wish they would have done that they didn't. Also best advice to help seal a truck and things you should do before the topper goes on. Any additional info is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

just ordered my 100r 2 weeks ago. I ordered it with the Thule tracks, pet screens, headliner, and used the coupon to get the front removable sliding window. I'm sure once it gets in and I start using it, I'll smack myself for not ordering certain things. I can't wait to get it on there though.

I bought my Leer XL used. I have a slider with pet screen on drivers side and its nice when the dogs are in the back. Have a windoor on the passenger side and use it all the time to access stuff in the bed. Removable slider up front is a must have in my opinion so you can clean the windows without removing the topper. I also have the roof rack with Thule bars. Nice for trips to put my bags up there and dogs in the back under the shell. If I had ordered it new I would have done the sliding windoors on both sides with pet screens (haul my dogs a lot), but its fine how it is for me. As far as sealing it up read some threads on here about the front rail and the gaps. I have caulked the front once the topper was on and it helped but it's not 100% waterproof but it keeps it mostly dry definitely not water all over the place just a tiny bit its 98% dry inside. To seal it better I would need to remove the topper and work on the rails with it off but its good enough for me for now
