Well, best is subjective to lots of other factors. Search around in the forums, and get what YOU like. I've had a Leer XQ, liked the look but hated the boot...should have got a removable slider window. Now I really like the look of the A.R.E. CX Series with the side sliding windows that open up so you can access the whole bed.

Had a leer with a boot 20yrs ago. The boot wore the paint off the cab.

Skid Plate, Hood Protector, Wheel Locks, Snugtop XV, Yakima Rack, Weathertechs, Sick Speed Shifter, Avid Bumper, Avid Sliders, Bilstien 5100's, TSB Spring packs
Snugtop is a first quality fiberglass top.

A discussion of the best tops available would have to include Gemtops as these are generally an all steel top and are built to a high level.

I would have to drive just about clear across the country to get a snug top. No dealers even close to Minnesota. sux for me. I think if people saw a snug top in the Midwest it would be their first time ever seeing one in person.
