Looks great man, this isn't a bad idea at all. One trip to Glamis and I ripped my lower ball joint boot and rather than replacing with a stock lca I am thinking about going this route. Will you post picks when you have limit straps installed? Do you know what you were doing when you cracked you stock lca?

good eye Kevin, the UCA makes contact w/ the sprinle at droop

i just noticed the zerk fitting on the LCA... thats badass

i wish my TC kit had zerks on the bottom, re-lubing the bushings on the LCA is such an ass pain

thanks guys. I dont know if the coilover would limit that happening but i think I would run a limit strap just for saftey sake...a strap is a lot cheaper than new UCA's or coilovers...

OK, I gotta ask...You beef the UCAs, spindles, LCAs and have some badass struts of some sort in either MT or LT. Based upon the video, haven't you moved the weakpoint to the frame now? How much flex is it gonna take before you need frame boxing, motor mount bracket beefing and so on? It really doesn't matter how far you go, there's still more to do to keep from breaking something farther up the parts chain. Might as well start with some trophy truck tubed up baja frame to put that kind of suspension on and/or some badass motor to go with it past a certain point that many are surpassing in some way. Not sure where some of the opinions of what's worth doing moneywise or not are coming from. Whether it's worth doing is a matter of perspective/need/coin/wants/goals/uses. All that aside.......nice stuff!

^ but if you have a trophy truck, then you still dont have the ability to fly or enter into orbit in space, so I think it is safe to say that the best platform to work on is a slightly used spaceship/UFO...something that isnt beat on too hard :notsure:

Just messing with ya :D There is no theoretic limit to what we can do to our trucks, that's what makes people push the limits and create more awesome stuff!!

Yes, that's what I'm gettin at....Who's place is it to question why or how much someone wants to spend on whatever direction they wanna go with their truck and theorize whether it's worth it or not instead of just trying to answer questions people are asking in order to make better decisions about what they wanna do. Too many opinions of what's worthwhile or not vs. information exchanges more often than not......

^ x2 as long as OP invests in his rear, his front set up will do fine with most entry level LT kits

very valid points... since having built my front end, i have broken my motor mounts 3 times...

however, driving style has a lot to do with it as well...

each of the times i broke the mounts, i was launching the truck several feet in the air at speeds greater than 40mph...

I just want to know if it will get a lifted truck into alignment and be a good mid travel setup?

I don't like the LT kit becuase it sticks out too far, plus I would need new front axles. This seems like a good compromise for what I may want to do.
