Weathertech Floor Liners, Scangauge 2, Tailgate Hose Clamp, Rear Seat Headrests Removed
I got my Green 2010 4x4 5sp 2.7l Access Cab Tuesday. When I brought it home the new Weathertech mats were waiting on the doorstep.:)

I have been lurking on the site for about 6months while I looked for a deal on a 4cyl 5sp PreRunner or 4x4 First Gen, but I finally gave up and went for the new one. If you expect the truck to go 250k miles and even a 100k used truck is $15k, it is hard to justify not going new.

It seems strange that my first built in America (California) vehicle would be from a Japanese company. I previously owned a '69 VW Bug, '83 Mazda RX-7, '79 Chevy Luv pickup, and '93 Jeep Cherokee. I bought the Cherokee new and have 307k on it, so I am expecting a 4cyl Toyota truck should beat that.

So far the mods have been limited to the Weathertechs, Scangauge (still playing with mounting locations), rear headrest removal, and the hoseclamp mod for the tailgate.

I am planning on keeping the running gear pretty much as delivered up until the first (free from dealer) oil change and then will probably remove the secondary air filter, go synthetic on the lubricants, and play with tire pressure. I am trying to get a good initial baseline on mileage first.

I will probably ask Santa Claus to bring me a few trinkets for the Toy (fog lights, bed mat, cargo bar, etc), but that is about it. I am an Engineer, so I am sure I will just keep tinkering and surfing for mods as part of my nature.

Doesn't look like you'll have to ask Santa for a security system as you have one living across the street. LOL. ;)
