Okay so I went though all 13 pages hoping for an answer to this question and please forgive me if I missed it.
I believe it was touched on when the E rated guy posted his picture of what looked like a deeper side profile on the E rated tire but was never answered as to why the pictures look so different.
In one picture the sidewall profile looks deep and then the next picture it looks shallow is there a difference from one side of the tire to other side ?
Or do they have two different sidewall depth profiles? one shallow for the lighter rated tires and a deeper one with the heavier e rated tires?

I am only asking because I go from loving the look, to not so much every time I see a different picture.

My wildpeaks were great , never let me down. Only went to geolanders bc I wanted a more aggressive tire and to go to 33sScreenshot_20200523-193533_Gallery.jpg .

The sidewall tread on the LT tires seems to be a bit more aggressive than the SL versions. The tread on my C range 285/70/17's is definitely not as beefy looking as my KO2's were, but still looks pretty good.

from the toyo web page, there are two different sidewall edges on the at3, your choice what to use. they call one the serial side. looks like the serial side has more siping. since it is a drawing, i cant tell if one is more pronounced, aggressive, than the other.

these are the tires i am getting 265/70/17 SL rated. just waiting to find "a deal" on the pricing. Ski

So I asked Toyo the same question and I got a good reply as to why the additional difference in appearance.

Thank you for contacting Toyo Tires U.S.A. Corp. The Open Country AT3 is constructed with dual side walls. The opposite serial side has less groves in the side wall blocks then the serial side giving it a less aggressive look. Some of the larger sizes have 3ply side wall construction instead of the standard 2ply which may appear to look different due to more materials used. I hope this answers your questions. If not, we find that we can assist better when we can speak directly to you. Please contact us at 800-442-8696Mon-Fri 6am - 4pm PST. We appreciate your interest in Toyo Tires.

For those that have them, how was balancing them? Any highway vibrations? Been dealing with vibrations in a new set of WildPeaks and am strongly considering jumping up to these instead or go back to Goodyears. I do 80% highway driving and am a weekend warrior for offroading at the deer lease, so don't need anything to fancy.

Scheduled to do just that Friday. Was looking for a backup in case they can't do it. Went ahead and mentioned the Toyo AT3 to Discount Tire. Manager said he'd take care of me price wise if he can't get the Wildpeaks done right. He's a fan of the Wildpeaks and thinks he can get it done.

if the tires are new, and have a warranty, let them roadforce them, and figure which tire(s) are bad, and replace those and balance. you will be good to go. Ski

This is what im doing. Since my tires only have 12k on them, I am going to do the cmc & pinch weld first. Then add the TC gussets, then upgrade my tires. Nitto or Toyo or KO2s, in 285 c load. With my toytec lift, I'll be ready for 285s

have been searching for the right deal for me on tire pricing, simple tire had a decent price on the at3 shipped to me, needing mount and balance. i selected that, due to wanting roadforce balance any how.

price matched to discount tire through tw (thank you don),

for grins called my local independent tire store, where the body shop i work at gets all our tire, wheels etc... was pleasantly surprised with the pricing, inc roadforce balance, and tax out the door white letters 770.55, black walls 756.77. decided to go with the local shop and BW's. should have them on by end of next week. Ski

It was a quick job. It's about the only thing I cannot do myself.

I also had them do an alignment. They gave many compliments; surprised me. It needs to be washed.

    Enjoy!
