    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
I've run the KO2s for the past 7 years, they have been fine in the winter. All AT tires will suck on actual ice.
I do have winter tires Blizzack DMV2 to put on as well but last year I didn't bother putting them on.
Lots of guys run the Duratracs, @friendlywithbears and I think @WormSquirts have run them for quite a while. Those guys are out in the bush lots.
I do think the Toyo look better than the Falken.

As of now all LT 265/75/R16 are made in Japan and have the less aggressive sidewall. After I called Toyo they called me back and asked if they could forward my number on to someone else for me to talk to. It ended up being the designer of the tire. He confirmed that this size is made in Japan and that the molds (sidewalls) are different. The sizes that are made in Japan are specific sizes and not all of one wheel size is made in one place or the other. He said they are trying to get the molds updated so that all the tires have the same sidewall. I actually talked to him for quite a while and he was really straightforward and understanding on this issue. He's a Toyota guy as well.

I think your best bet is to call toyo direct to see where the specific tire you want is made if it hasn't already been confirmed on here somewhere.

By all tires having the same sidewall after the molds are updated, I mean the black sidewall LT tires. I'd assume the SL would still be the less aggressive version. Not sure on the OWL LT tires.

We need to continue to try and use the correct terms in order to avoid continued confusion. On ALL loads and sizes (regardless of manufacture origin), Toyo makes a "less aggressive" and "more aggressive" sidewall pattern distinguished by an extra line down the middle of sidewall pattern and outer tread blocks.

What Toyo needs to do is change the molds so that ALL loads and sizes (regardless of USA or Japan manufacture origin), have the same sidewall pattern Thickness AKA = To All USA Made Tires!

Thoughts on these in a 265/60R18 for a daily driver? They're the same diameter as the stock setup that came on my SR just wider. Curious if they would ride any better on the road or how it would affect MPGs. I'm also assuming no rubbing issues since these come stock on the Limited but not sure if the Limited has different suspension than the SR.

Another trip up to the hill and another snow storm to test out winter performance on my SLs. I'm still really impressed with their grip on both plowed/compact roads and 1.5ft of loose/fresh powder!

Played around in a little snow last weekend. Here is a short and relatively useless clip. lol

They did perform pretty well. Drove on some hard pack/ice over cement too.

Wow, after reading through this thread and shopping around for tires I’m going to stay away from these due to the inconsistency and insufficiency from Toyo. I do like this tire but don’t feel like going through the hassle trying to get the right tire. Toyo really does need to work on this.

I want this tire in a 295/75r16. No information that I can find on what I might get with that tire from Toyo.

Probably just have to call them and ask where that specific tire is made. Being a black side wall LT you would assume USA and have the deeper sidewall tread, but that's not the case for the LT265/75R16 or LT285/75R16. If you do call and they say Japan(shallower sidewall tread) maybe let them know if that influences your buying decision or not.

Most places won’t have them in stock, they’ll have to order. No way of knowing where they’re made until visually inspecting in person. For me at least, I didn’t have to put down any kind of deposit to order these tires from DD because I raised this concern and they were cool with it. Possibly worth the shot if you’re stuck on these?

well, i found the limits of these tires. hard boost at 50+ rise in the road had me drifting back and fourth 5 zags. drove out of it thankfully. dont expect these to be high performance tires. quite frighnening really.
