What are your alignment numbers and your wheel width and offset/backspacing?

I occasionally get a very slight wobble as well. I assumed it was the standard 4runner wobble, but I hadn't noticed that in awhile until recently.

It could be worth getting them rebalanced. I had mine installed at an off-road shop and they were perfect. I lost some weights pressure washing mud out of the wheels, and had them rebalanced at a tire shop. Then, I still had some wobble. I finally took it back to my off-road shop and they were smooth again. I still get a slight wobble occasionally, but it's barely noticeable.

Keep in mind our trucks are known to have lots of different "vibes" coming from all sorts of places!

Do you mean that your steering wheel shakes slightly?

I don't have any shaking in the steering wheel with mine, but I have noticed a very interesting vibration pattern through the peddle and floor and maybe the steering wheel. But it's not a shaking like you get from a balance or when your brake rotors are warped.

It's more like the vibration you get from your phone. I'm pretty sure it's a drivetrain issue (my initial thought was I need to grease my zerks which I haven't done yet). Could also just be the colder weather?

But it comes and goes on a consistent timeline. Starts to build/ramp up, hits it's peak, then ramps down... Goes away for 2-3 seconds then keeps doing it as I'm driving down the road no matter what speed... ----/////|||||\\\\\\-----

yeah, noted on our trucks having random vibes...
In my case a very very slight vibe in the steering wheel between 60 and 65mph.

    Thanks for the feedback/info!

Have now run AT3s, 285/70/17, on my SPC UCAs for 6K miles, no vibration and no alignment issues. They performed really well in some slippery and deep sand near Moab last week, then even better in the snowstorm on my way home. Love these tires.

Definitely feel the tires more. They are mega grippy, so slow turns require a touch more muscle. But at highway speeds, no noticeable difference for me. I did however upgrade everything at once, so it is hard for me to say what is due to suspension, tires, UCAs, etc.

    Just got mine installed. 265/75/16.

there is definitely a difference in the inside/outside sidewalls. The guys at discount tire were surprised too.

hopefully they do better than the stock Goodyear’s this winter in the Michigan snow!

Can you post more details about your tires? Assume they are made in Japan? And can you elaborate on the inside/outside sidewall difference? I'm assuming the sidewall tread thickness is the same on both, just the extra line on the one side...?

    Thanks!

Yes, made in Japan, I would assume the actual thickness is the same as well but the difference is everything on the "extra line" side is deeper/more aggressive. the Toyo branding and the side "tread" is all deeper. Minimal for sure, but it is different.

    SL, 265/75/r16 116T, load is 2756lbs @44psi

What’s your guys thoughts on the sidewall strength of the Toyos? I’ve ran BFGs for years with the 3ply core guard or whatever it is. Want to try something new, but not sure how much I’d give up by going with a 2ply sidewall like these or so many other ATs.... thx
