No, C... But, the E load version is only 1# heavier, so I really considered it.

I bought a set of 235/85r16. They are a very quiet! They look and ride well, but so far I haven't done anything challenging with them. I drove them home with 36psi in them, and they were a bit stiff. I aired them down to 29 after I saw the nibs in the middle wearing off first, and they ride better.

I've got a set 265/75/16 SL or order for my truck, but now I've been looking at the innernet too much and am questioning the SL. Reason I went with the SL, is weight of the tire. And I didn't want it to ride like a potato wagon (daily driver). And I'm trying to minimize the mpg loss if I can.

But these 10 ply tires look so good! Big O didn't have any to look at, so I'm hoping the SL sidewall looks decent.

My 285 70 R17 SL-rated Toyo ATIII got mounted Monday. I was hopeful that I could have my cake and eat it too: an M+S rated all-terrain that weighed less than the tire it replaced for fuel savings and power preservation. These were the best tire on paper.

But, I just can't get over how tame they look. There, I said it. They just don't look as cool to me as the KO2 they replaced.

But they ride nice and already look promising on the fuel consumption.

Note: the vinyl stripes were a fun way to spend a quarantined morning but they looked cooler in my head, too, and are getting pealed off tomorrow.

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks like the sidewall is a little different on the SL rated VS the LT rated version. I definitely agree that they're not as aggressive looking as the KO2's. I'm still very happy with them.

That could be. Also, according to the spec sheet, there is a difference in tread depth on the SL vs. the C and E rated ones, too (13.6 vs 16.5 32nds). Gotta make the weight up somewhere I guess.

From the picture, it looks the same as mine (load range C)

I'm pretty sure the SL rated version has it's own sidewall design. The other load ranges all seem to have the same tread depth, based on size, while the SL have less tread. I'll get a better picture of mine for comparison, but as best as I can tell, they look the same as the picture you quoted, other than size.

That size is available in load range D and F.

    I agree

SL def look much tamer than the C and E.

I am super happy with my C-Rated so far, and like them better than my KO2. Lighter, quieter and smoother.
